Challenge:

The brief for Eclipse Audio Visual was to design and integrate an innovative audio visual system that incorporated the latest presentation and video conferencing solutions.

Solution:

Meeting Room 1:

The main feature of this room was a moveable partition wall which allowed the small meeting room to be opened up into a large presentation or training space. To achieve this we installed two systems in one. Firstly, a 42” plasma screen and video conferencing facilities for use with the small meeting room configuration. We also installed a ceiling mounted projector with a ceiling recessed screen for use when the partition was removed for large presentations. Ceiling mounted speakers were also installed with an audio overspill function for when the partition wall was open. An AMX control panel was also integrated to ensure the room could be operated with ease.

Business Lounge:

In this area we mounted three LCD displays onto a central pillar to display both television and corporate information using a Onelan Digital Signage Solution enabling the reception staff to update screen content on a live basis. We also included a laptop connection to the screens which was installed discreetly in one of the reception floor-boxes.

Meeting Room 2:

In this large meeting room we installed a 2.4m ceiling recessed, tensioned projection screen. We also integrated two laptop input panels into the existing floor-boxes. The laptop connections were set up to operate on an automatic selection basis, eliminating the need for a remote control to switch sources.

Café:

In this large area we installed three 42” plasma displays. The system was configured to display Sky television from a Sky box located in the McGrigors comms room. We distributed the signal over the existing Cat5 structured cabling. Laptop and audio connectivity to all screens was also integrated, making this a truly multi-use space.

Video Conferencing Pod:

In this room we were asked to create an innovative video conferencing system. We wall mounted a 50” plasma display and installed integrated Polycom video conferencing. We also included an “On Air” light which is wall mounted outside the room to show that the video conferencing is in use. A wall mounted AMX control panel is installed for easy selection of equipment and audio.

Small Video Conferencing Room:

In this room we installed 42” plasma display and video conferencing system. A wall mounted AMX control panel was also installed for simple control of the equipment.
