Video Conferencing Network infrastructure
Eclipse roll out vc infrastructure solution to corporate client.
vc infrastructure solutions can greatly improve the R.o.i. and functionality of multi site vc systems.
Eclipse AV have just completed a large scale video conferencing network infrastructure installation. Various items including a multi conference unit, a server for integration with Microsoft Lync and Pathfinder were installed on site in London.
Having four offices nationwide, with several video conferencing suites in each, the client was in need of a more effective way to manage calls and integrate with the newly implemented Microsoft Lync communications product. With the desire to somehow integrate the company's numerous users on the Apple iPhone/ iPad platform, it was clear that an innovative solution would be required.
Radvision are well known in the industry for supplying powerful backroom infrastructure equipment and in recent years have started to supply their own end-points too.
The solution for this particular system allows for multiple simultaneous high definition calls with content sharing, from both VC endpoints or Lync clients on the LAN and external endpoints. There is also capability for iPhone/ iPad users to participate in conferences. The system operates through "virtual meeting rooms" meaning that users can conference using the Lync client on their desktop PC or laptop without having to leave their desk, and can also check on the availability of physical meeting rooms.
The result was a system that allows maximum nationwide collaboration between VC room systems, desktop and mobile users with capacity for multiple high definition calls from both inside and outside the organistation.
Maximum in call functionality was provided with dynamic or controlled participant layout, in call participant invitations, virtual meeting rooms complete with "auto attendant" which comes into effect when participants arrive before the meeting organiser.
